MATCHUP SUMMARY
Da Bears take on the reigning champion Buccaneers in the slate’s last game as 13 point underdogs. Chicago’s defense seems to be ailing at the wrong time with Akiem Hicks ruled out and a trio of key defenders led by Khalil Mack listed as Questionable for this matchup. Once backup and now starting Running Back Damien Williams was activated off the COVID IR and is expected to play but Jimmy Graham replaces him on the COVID-IR and Allen Robinson II is Questionable. The Buccaneers’ pace of play and offensive strength has allowed opposing Quarterbacks to average 23 DraftKings points against them and they’re ceding the third-most points to opposing Wide Receivers. I am likely out on Justin Fields, but Darnell Mooney and Cole Kmet look to be the best plays from the Chicago side.
I want whatever Tom Brady is injecting. With 30 DraftKings points in four of six starts, he looks as good as he ever has. He will be missing his soulmate Antonio Brown and that should open up opportunities for Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Leonard Fournette has firmly established himself as the number one Running Back and his price has yet to catch up to his production. Despite the big spread, Brady and company have shown they can reach their ceilings in one sided games this season.
THE DFS GEMS
TOM BRADY, TB – $7700 on DraftKings. Brady with two receivers has worked well several times this season.
MIKE EVANS, TB – $6500 on DraftKings. With Antonio Brown out and coming off an uncharacteristically poor game, look for Evans to bounce back.
CHRIS GODWIN, TB – $5900 on DraftKings. The price is just too low considering the likely opportunity.
DARNELL MOONEY, CHI – $4600 on DraftKings. Mooney has been the Chicago receiver to establish chemistry with Fields and this is one of the best spots he’ll see all year.
