AP’S NBA BETS BLOG 1/13-1/15
This season I’ll be posting my NBA Bets write up in a Blog type of format. When a play gets added I’ll send an alert in discord. I just want to be able to provide some context to my posted plays – this format will allow me to get plays up fast so we can get in before big line movements.
20’21’ RECORD: 39-23, +15.4 Units
1/13 PLAYS
BUCKS VS PISTONS – OVER 225, 1 UNIT
The Bucks always look to play at a fast pace, they are a team we often target for overs bets. The Pistons are quietly averaging just over 105 possessions per game which puts them at the 11th fastest pace in the league. The key thing I am looking at on the Pistons side is the status of Derrick Rose & Josh Jackson. Rose is probable & Jackson isn’t on the injury report. Both are decent shooters & prefer to push the pace. [I see this number climbing over 227, so get on it early]
TIMBERWOLVES -3.5, 1 UNIT
This Wolves team is just all around better with Karl-Anthony Towns on the court. In his first game back from injury he logged heavy minutes. This Grizzlies team is coming off two wins; one against the lowly Cavaliers, a team that is completely lost on the offensive side of the court. I think they are slightly overvalued at this number going against a healthy Wolves squad. I like the Wolves big here.
BLAZERS VS KINGS OVER 235.5, 1 UNIT
These are two of the fastest paced teams in the league & both should be rested coming into this contest. These squads just played a few days ago putting up 124 total points; note they combined for just under 42% shooting from the field & the Kings were just 8 for 30 from 3 point range. I’m extremely confident we’ll get enough pace here, we just need average shooting on both sides & we’ll cash our unit in this spot more often than not.
CLIPPERS -6, 1 UNIT
The Pelicans come into this contest without Lonzo Ball & many question marks after losses to the Pacers, Thunder, & Hornets. They travel to face an LAC team that has their own issues, primarily on the defensive side of the ball. However, LAC just has too much fire power & the Pels will be without one of their key facilitators on offense in Lonzo Ball. I think Paul George & Kawhi Leonard put on a show, primetime on ESPN tonight.
