NHL Bets Blog – NHL 11/21/2022

YTD (50-53-2)

Knights couldn’t seal the deal against the Oilers, spoiling the the perfect night but overall not bad. I’ll take 2-1 any day. I don’t get who did the scheduling for the NHL but it’s so dumb, there are either 2 games or 15 games. My 2 game parlay missed yesterday because Bobrovsky has been absolutely buns, I’ll likely be fading him hard going forward. Very overrated in my eyes. Either way tonight filled with action, we’ve got 10 games on the slate with a few great matchups.

Anaheim Ducks (+170) @ St. Louis Blues (-200)

The Blues will host Anaheim for the second time in 3 days, looking for a similar result to last game. St. Louis pumped the Ducks 6-2 to win their 6th straight and I see no reason for anything different tonight. The Blues are playing significantly better than they were on their 8 game losing streak, with Binnington putting up a .933 SV% in his last 5 starts. They’re the better team right now in every way, the Ducks stink. While I expect the Blues to handle themselves similarly to last game, the Ducks can sneak some goals in if the Blues ease up on them. I got the over at 6 goals but I don’t mind it at 6.5, Ducks stink but it’s not uncommon for the Blues to take on some water.

St. Louis Blues -1.5 (+125)
Over 6.5 Total Goals Scored (+100)

Colorado Avalanche (+105) @ Dallas Stars (-125)

I’m mad at myself for not taking the Stars when they were -110 but the Stars should be able to take the win tonight. The Avs are still a travelling hospital and head to Dallas to take on a very difficult Stars team. Stars center Roope Hintz will be a GTD but that doesn’t sway me at all. While Colorado is still solid and will pump the bad teams in the league, they’ve had some struggles against the big dogs. Dallas plays very tight defensively while lighting up the scoreboard themselves.

Aside from their home opener the Stars are vastly outshooting opponents in their home barn. Small sample size, I know, but in his 2 games against the Avs Jake Oettinger is 2-0, only allowing 2 total goals on 80 shots faced. Whether this is a barn burner or a defensive snooze fest I expect the Stars to be in control of this one from start to finish.
