YTD (46-39-2)

Another nice night last night, Timo didn’t score the way I expected him to but it counts all the same. Eichel made Western NY his bitch, lighting the Sabres up for 3 goals and an apple in his return. He even gave the “are you not entertained” after his first of the night. Smaller slate ahead of us to start the night.

I want to preface this by saying I don’t really love any of the lines tonight, the ones here are just what I thought was best. I do like the Stars a lot, but other than that lines are tight and I could see all these games going a number of ways. I just wanted to give a heads up on that.

Tampa Bay Lightning (-140) @ Washington Capitals (+120)

First things first, Vasilevskiy has yet to be confirmed as the starter. I expect him to be in net and I don’t see why he wouldn’t be but I really only like this if he is in net so keep an eye on that. If he is in net the Bolts should have no problems handling themselves against the Capitals. As I’ve said Tampa isn’t the wagon they were a few years ago but they can still dish out a beat down. Vasi is still Vasi, and still the best goalie in the world in my opinion. Washington will likely have star D man John Carlson back in the mix, but even with him they don’t have the fire power to skate with Tampa.

Another factor tonight is Capitals Coach Laviolette will not be on the bench tonight as he’s sidelined in Covid protocol, leaving his assistant to take the reigns. That’s tough when you’re going against one of the best coaches in the league right now. I like the Bolts chances.

Tampa Bay Lightning to Win in Regulation (-105)

San Jose Sharks (+195) @ Dallas Stars (-230)

Sharks head to Dallas tonight to cap off their back to back games. They face one of the toughest opponents in the league, in their home barn. The Stars are near impossible to score on, allowing only 2.46 GAA this year. With Otter likely between the pipes for them the Sharks, who already struggle to score, will really struggle. This is just a total mismatch for the Sharks back to back or not. Not much else to say about it.

Dallas Stars -1.5 (+110)
